BioRePeel: The All-Seasons TCA Peel You Need to Try

TCA has always been one of the most effective peeling agents in skincare. It has also, typically, come with a catch: redness, sensitivity, and days of visible flaking that make a lot of people pass on it entirely.

BioRePeel was built to change that trade. It delivers a 30% TCA peel to the face, and most people walk out looking like they had a facial, not a peel. Here's what it is, how it works, and whether it belongs in your plan.

What BioRePeel Actually Is

BioRePeel is a professional peel developed in Italy by CMed Aesthetics. The face version, BioRePeelCl3 FND, is formulated for the face, neck, and décolleté with 30% trichloroacetic acid (TCA) as its main active.

TCA isn't working alone. According to CMed's product information, the formula carries 14 active ingredients: six acids, four amino acids, plus vitamins C and B2. Alongside TCA you'll find lactobionic, salicylic, tartaric, and citric acids, the amino acids glycine, proline, hydroxyproline, and arginine, and GABA.

Why BioRePeel Doesn't "Peel" like a Traditional TCA Peel

The difference is the delivery system. BioRePeel is biphasic, meaning it holds two phases that work at the same time:

  • The oil-based (lipophilic) phase carries the TCA. This is the resurfacing side, the part that exfoliates and signals the skin to build collagen and elastin.
  • The water-based (hydrophilic) phase carries the amino acids, vitamins, and GABA. This side hydrates and supports the skin while the acids work.

Traditional TCA peels cause visible shedding largely because they disrupt the skin barrier. BioRePeel's formula is designed to support the barrier during treatment, so you get the resurfacing signal without the week of flaking. Clinicians who have published case studies on it describe little to no visible exfoliation, with the actives doing their work at the cellular level instead of on the surface.

What BioRePeel Treats

BioRePeel is one of the more versatile peels I can reach for. The face formula is indicated for:

  • Dull, tired-looking skin that has lost its bounce
  • Active and comedonal acne, plus post-acne marks
  • Hyperpigmentation and sun damage
  • Fine lines and early photoaging
  • Rough texture and enlarged-looking pores

Two details make it especially useful. It's considered appropriate for all Fitzpatrick skin types, and it doesn't make skin photosensitive, so it can be done any season, including summer. Stronger peels are usually saved for cooler months. This one doesn't have to be.

What to Expect During and After a Treatment

The treatment itself is short, and most people describe it as comfortable. You may feel some warmth or tingling while the peel is on.

Afterward, expect skin that looks fresh and hydrated rather than raw. Some people see mild redness for a few hours. Visible peeling is uncommon, though everyone's skin responds a little differently.

You'll likely notice a glow right away. The deeper changes in texture, tone, and clarity take longer. In one published set of case studies, the first visible results showed up around 14 days after the first treatment.

One Peel vs. a Series: How to See the Best Results

While one BioRePeel treatment will leave you with a noticeable glow (they are great just before big event!), a treatment series is where they shine ... pun intended ... and is what will help drive real change within your skin.

Like most chemical peels, BioRePeel works best in a series of 4 to 6 treatments spaced 1 to 2 weeks apart. Each session builds on the last, which is how you move pigmentation, texture, and breakouts instead of just brightening the surface for a week. After the series, maintenance sessions help hold the results.

Who Should Skip It

BioRePeel is gentle for a TCA peel, but it's still a professional peel. It isn't right for you if you are:

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Taking or recently finished isotretinoin (Accutane)
  • Allergic to any of its ingredients (including aspirin)

This is why every BioRePeel at SkinOS starts with a review of your health history, medications, and current skincare. If something on your intake changes the plan, I'll tell you, and we'll find the right treatment instead.

The peel is the 20%

At SkinOS, I build everything around the 80/20 framework: Roughly 20% of your results come from what happens on my table, and 80% come from what you do at home. BioRePeel is a strong 20%. It doesn't replace daily SPF, a routine matched to your skin, or giving your skin a gentle few days after each session.

When you book a BioRePeel series, you leave with a home-care plan built to support it, so each treatment has something to build on.
